Please note the changes in this article do not apply to Oxfordshire County Council or Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary managers.
Initiating recruitment now involves just one intuitive form, making the process quicker and easier for managers under pressure.
In recent months, feedback from recruiting managers has enabled Shared Services to completely redesign the process of recruitment, with recruiting managers at the centre.
The ‘initiate recruitment’ app enables you to set the process in motion in one short step. This new app follows several transformative changes to recruitment that are enabling Shared Services partners to save time and fill important roles more efficiently.
Thank you to all colleagues who provided feedback – your insights have driven a wealth of improvements.
After you submit your ‘Initiate Recruitment’ form, an enquiry will automatically be raised for you in “My Enquiry” called “Your active recruitment”. This is a direct line to the Shared Services Recruitment team, for your queries about the role.
The team will be in touch with you, via the enquiry, once the advert is ready or if they need any additional information.
Empowering you to manage your team structure
For leaders and managers, having accurate, up-to-date records of team structures, and the numbers of current recruitments ongoing in your service, is vital – especially in times of change.
To help with this, managers will now have the power to close job requisitions themselves if they decide not to proceed.
With greater control of your records, you can more easily make changes to your structure and provide better reports.
