Local Resilience Forum

Hampshire prepared

The Local Resilience Forum (LRF) is a partnership which works together to help people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight stay safe. We aim to reduce risk in the community and help people be prepared for emergencies.  The LRF includes emergency services, councils, businesses and voluntary organisations.

LRF response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Organisations from across the LRF are continuing to work together on the response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as focusing on plans to help the residents, businesses and communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to recover from the wider effects of the pandemic.

About the Local Resilience Forum (LRF)

Through the LRF, organisations work together to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. The LRF has several sub-groups dedicated to various emergency management actions. These could be risk assessments or how to help communities become more resilient.

The LRF is also responsible for emergency plans and procedures for major incidents. We develop, maintain and test the plans. This prepares all our organisations to respond to an emergency in a joined up way. This helps the members of the LRF to meet their duties specified under the Civil Contingencies Act.
